Description

Observed and imaged Mars on June 8th under fair seeing. I was hoping to catch the dust storm brewing up at this time. The Mars 'rind' artifact is much more prominent in this image than my previous attempt back in May.

Imaged with a C8 Evo, custom Siebert 2x barlow, ZWO ADC, Baader Moon&Skyglow filter, and ZWO ASI224MC. Image capture using Firecapture. Stacking in AutoStakkert3. Color balancing and Wavelet sharpening in Registax6. Lastly, deroted a series of 3 images in WinJupos10.9 to generate the final image. Each of the individual images is a stack of the best 25% of typically 27,000 frames captured over 180 seconds.
